Privacy and use

No name, account or email required. Birth details remain in page memory and are removed on clear or reload. They are not stored or added to URLs. Only language preference is saved locally. The site is funded by ads: pages load Adsterra ads in an isolated frame, and Adsterra and its partners may receive your IP and browser information and use cookies for ad delivery and measurement (privacy policy: https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/). The ad frame cannot read this page, and we never provide birth details or charts to advertisers. Pages also load an Adsterra popunder (clicking the page may open an ad tab in the background, frequency-capped per visitor) and a Social Bar (a corner overlay). These two scripts run on the page itself: we do not deliberately provide birth details or charts to advertisers, but we cannot prevent a third-party script from reading the page; use your browser's ad blocking if this concerns you. Each move to another page is a full page load. Visitors in the EEA, UK or Switzerland must agree before ads load. No analytics or external AI requests are enabled. You can refuse ads with your browser's ad or cookie blocking; the tools keep working.

About this tool

Chinese name numerology starts from character strokes and produces five numbers — Heaven, Personality, Earth, Outer and Total grids — each mapped to the traditional 81-number table and luck level; the elements of the Heaven, Personality and Earth grids form the Three Talents and show whether they generate or restrain each other.

Strokes follow the Kangxi radical-based count (for example 氵 counts as 4 and 艹 as 6), which differs from handwriting stroke count and is the standard in name numerology. Teachers differ on adjustments for one-character surnames or given names and on the lucky range of the 81 numbers; this page states the rules it uses.

FAQ

Why do my strokes differ from handwriting?

Name numerology uses Kangxi radical strokes: 氵 counts as 4 (water), 扌 as 4 (hand), 艹 as 6 (grass), so counts are often higher.

How are single-character names adjusted?

One-character surnames add 1 to the Heaven grid, one-character given names add 1 to the Earth grid, and the Outer grid adjusts by rule.

Can a name decide fate?

No. This is a traditional numerological system, not science; choose names for sound, writing and family wishes.

Can I enter Simplified characters?

Yes; they are converted to Traditional first. Some characters map to several forms — please verify.
